Ronald Koeman, Ian Wright Bestätigt für FUT 20 als Ikonen

Am frühen Sonntagabend kündigte EA zwei weitere Ikonen für das FUT 20 Ultimate Team an: Der ehemalige Barcelona und Ajax/PSV Spitzenverteidiger/defensiver Mittelfeldspieler Ronald Koeman geht voran. Zu ihm gesellt sich der ehemalige Stürmer von Arsenal/Crystal Palace, Ian Wright. Jüngere FUT Enthusiasten kennen die beiden höchstwahrscheinlich wegen ihrer derzeitigen Rolle als Manager bzw. BBC Experte.
Koeman spielte in Barca für den großartigen niederländischen Kollegen Johan Cruyff und spielte neben Pep Guardiola, Michael Laudrup und Hristo Stoichkov auf dem Weg zu vier aufeinanderfolgenden La Liga Kronen. Am bekanntesten ist, dass er das entscheidende Tor beim Europapokalfinale 1992 erzielte und Barca damit ihren ersten Titel in der späteren Champions League sicherte.
Wright unterschrieb einen Vertrag bei Palace (nachdem er der Tabellenführer in der aktuellen Ära geworden war) für einen Rekord von £ 2,5 Millionen bei Arsenal. Er führte die Mannschaft in sechs aufeinanderfolgenden Saisons an und half dabei, die Gunners zu mehreren FA Cups, einem Ligapokal und der Meisterschaft 97/98 in der Premier League zu führen.
Aus FUT Sicht passt Koeman nicht genau in alles, was wir über das aktuelle Meta wissen. Daher müssten einige wichtige Gameplay Optimierungen/Entwicklungen vorgenommen werden, damit er regelmäßig in die Kader der Weekend League aufgenommen wird. In einer Welt, in der Größe und Schlagkraft für Mittelfeldspieler weniger wichtig sind, ist die Vorstellung, dass er ein untergroßer (5'11/181cm), aber starker defensiver Mittelfeldspieler ist, durchaus denkbar. Es ist ein bisschen schwierig, Wright als offensiven Grundnahrungsmittel in FUT zu sehen, da sein Spiel weitaus mehr auf die Marke des Fußballs der 90er Jahre zugeschnitten war. Wir müssen abwarten, welche Bewertungen sie haben und was noch wichtiger ist, wie sich das Gameplay ändert (oder nicht), bevor wir es endgültig wissen.
